In 2007 Clients approached Hart Fenton when their plans to operate on a new route coincided with M/V MALMÖ LINK and M/V LÜBECK LINK coming onto the market. The vessels were surveyed by a Hart Fenton team of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers who found the vessels appropriate for conversion to the new service.

Design work started at so that as soon as the sale had been completed the vessels could transit directly to a yard for conversion. Hart Fenton designed, engineered and supported the conversion and also provided expertise as clients re-flagged the vessels to the UK.
